    That is one of the main differences between direct marketing and brand awareness marketing. Direct marketing is a direct contact with the customer with direct and immediate measurable response. Where branding is sort of like saying here I am and some day you’ll recognize I’m standing over here.

For the service professional (not the professional marketer) it is not necessary to learn them all.     Find a company and product that you are EXCITED about. It’s hard to sell something you don’t believe in. Ideally, you want a product that people buy over and over again, month after month, year after year, and a company with values that are congruent with your values.
